MEETINGS...MEETINGS...WHAT ARE THEY SAYING? 

There are different entities affecting decisions about the nature of the Grant Road project. We are trying to make it less confusing to know who is responsible for what. Minutes from those meetings are available on this website.  Click the links below.

RTA - Regional Transportation Authority - funds the project from bond money and authorizes the city to build.  The money for the Grant Road Project was allocated in 2009. 

The City of Tucson
  • City engineers who contract out the plans and oversee the project
  • Citizen's Task Force - who oversee the ​ Grant Road Vision Statement which was created by the ____
​Comprised of business and neighborhood representatives who are appointed by the city.  They meet regularly and advise the Mayor and Council.  click here for minutes
  • Tucson Mayor and Council who approve and edit the Grant Rd Corridor Vision Statement

  • Office of Integrated Planning  now PDSD or Planning and Development Services
A newly implemented (2014) department that interfaces with the public and  related departments .  
  • Grant Rd Land Use Planning - deals with land use planning issues related to Grant Rd.
Neighborhoods and Stakeholders
  • Grant Road Coalition, Central Segments meets regularly to discuss issues and give input for the projected work along Grant Road.  Minutes are shared on this website.
